  10. GFFT Version 2.03 is the update to GFFT version 1.12.  The GUI is improved
  11. considerably (allows any font and screen color setup, has progress
  12. indicator, uses tooltypes, etc.), more features are added, bugs are fixed,
  13. and a new SpectrumAnalysis.guide is included (with lots of pictures) to
  14. explain spectrum analysis.

  16. GFFT is an FFT-based spectrum analysis program with many features.  By
  17. operating from stored sample data files, it offers higher resolution and/or
  18. accuracy than real-time analyzers.  It accepts 8, 12, or 16-bit data in in
  19. IFF 8SVX, AIFF, and AVR formats, or in unformatted files, and can accept
  20. data points entered through a console in floating point.

  22. GFFT can be operated from either a Workbench GUI or from a CLI in
  23. interactive or batch modes.  It has built-in help facilities for all
  24. operating modes with a 170+ Kb help file.

  26. GFFT can produce high quality spectrum plots on screen, plotter, or
  27. printer, or save to Postscript or TeX files, or output spectral data in
  28. text form to a console or file.  (GNUPLOT, a separate program by other
  29. authors, is required for plotting features.  GFFT is designed to invoke and
  30. control GNUPLOT automatically.)  It can plot in 2D (Amplitude vs
  31. Frequency), or 3D (Amplitude vs Frequency vs Time).  It allows the
  32. selection of logarithmic X and/or Y axes, the dB scaling of X, and
  33. arbitrary 3D rotation.  GFFT can show multiple spectra in the same plot, or
  34. append spectral data bands from earlier sessions.
